Generate order graphics automatically from WooCommerce
Every WooCommerce order carries a customer, a product and an order key. Drawtab turns that into a branded thank-you card, a receipt graphic, or a fulfilment slip — without a plugin or a line of PHP.
What sets it off
An order is created or updated in your WooCommerce store.
What you get
- Branded receipts
- Thank-you cards
- Fulfilment slips
- Order confirmations
Setting it up
One-time setup. After this it runs on its own.
Create a WooCommerce pipeline
Pick WooCommerce in Drawtab Pipelines and choose the template each order should render into.
Add the webhook in WooCommerce
Go to WooCommerce → Settings → Advanced → Webhooks → Add webhook, set the topic to Order created, and paste the pipeline’s trigger URL as the delivery URL.
Copy the webhook secret
WooCommerce generates a Secret on that same screen. Paste it into your Drawtab pipeline.
What you can put on the graphic
These are the paths you type into a template hotspot. Once a pipeline has received its first real record, the Sample Payload inspector shows your own data and you can click a value to fill the field.
| Field path | What it holds |
|---|---|
billing.first_name | Customer’s first name |
billing.last_name | Customer’s last name |
billing.email | Customer’s email — used for delivery |
line_items[0].name | First product in the order |
order_key | Unique order reference — good QR content |
total | Order total |
How Drawtab knows the data is real
WooCommerce signs deliveries with X-WC-Webhook-Signature, a base64 HMAC-SHA256 of the raw body keyed by the secret shown when you created the webhook. Drawtab verifies it before the order is read.
Every pipeline also has its own secret trigger URL, which can be rotated at any time without touching your template or mappings.
Common questions
Does this need a WordPress plugin?
No. It uses WooCommerce’s built-in webhooks, so there is nothing to install or keep updated.
Can I render one graphic per product in the order?
Not currently — a WooCommerce order produces one render. Map line_items[0] for the primary product, or use the batch engine for per-item runs.
