Generate graphics from any app using Zapier

Secret URL + optional signature

If Drawtab has no native integration for the tool you use, Zapier almost certainly does. Send any Zap’s data to your pipeline with the Webhooks by Zapier action and render from it exactly as you would a native source.

What sets it off

Any Zap you build — a new CRM deal, a calendar event, a database row.

What you get

  • Anything your template supports, from any of Zapier’s apps

Setting it up

One-time setup. After this it runs on its own.

1

Create a Zapier pipeline

Pick Zapier in Drawtab Pipelines and choose your template.

2

Add a Webhooks by Zapier action

In your Zap, add Webhooks by Zapier → POST, and paste the pipeline’s trigger URL.

3

Send JSON fields

Map the Zap’s data into the request body as JSON. Whatever keys you send become the paths you can map in Drawtab.

What you can put on the graphic

These are the paths you type into a template hotspot. Once a pipeline has received its first real record, the Sample Payload inspector shows your own data and you can click a value to fill the field.

Field pathWhat it holds
nameRecommended key for the recipient’s name
emailRecommended key for delivery
<any_key_you_send>Every field in your JSON body is mappable

How Drawtab knows the data is real

Zapier’s built-in webhook action cannot compute an HMAC, so the pipeline’s secret trigger URL is the primary safeguard — unguessable, and rotatable at any time. If you send a signature header yourself, Drawtab will verify it.

Every pipeline also has its own secret trigger URL, which can be rotated at any time without touching your template or mappings.

Common questions

Why use Zapier instead of waiting for a native integration?

Because it works today, with any of thousands of apps. Native integrations add verification and provider-specific field handling, but Zapier covers everything else in the meantime.

Does it cost a Zapier task per graphic?

Yes — each POST consumes a task on your Zapier plan, the same as any other webhook action.
